Libertadors

"Moran, Matt. 140p. Large format full colour pbk. In all, the era offers a chance to collect a small force of brightly-uniformed troops who are fun and simple to paint, with plenty of cavalry and chances for heroics. Indeed, contemporary accounts emphasise the mighty deeds of the figures who loom largest on both sides, and so this game has been written to do the same thing. Everything turns on your Officers, the key not only to command and control but often also to victory in melee. But if they fall in battle, they can no longer issue orders, and so the cycle of players’ decisions continues. The game is designed for battles featuring somewhere between 2,000 and 5,000 combatants – around 10 to 30 bases per side. Includes army lists and suggestions for figures"
