Wargaming for teams

What do you do if you have to do a certain job with a group? Or if things are not going well within the team? Or are you faced with new challenges and choices? A change of environment and roles can help. So if you want insight into the team, the personal preferences of the team members. The ways of communicating, how people deal with limited information and how people work together. The way of decision-making in your organization, in short, in the people you work with, then playing a war game is a good idea. Because companies often invest in profiling such as MBTI, DISC, Brainmap or management drives, but practicing with this information is often forgotten.

Themes that will be discussed include: leadership, cooperation, decision making, group dynamics, taking initiative, dealing with and managing the unexpected and dealing with stress.

Management Development

As a provider of management development programs, you are probably looking for new ways to serve your customers. In an MD process, behavior is important and feedback on that behavior is essential. How can you evoke the behavior that matters in a safe environment? BelloLudi has developed a game that fits seamlessly into any management development process. A war game. A wargame is a competitive environment in which participants must work together and make decisions. In addition, they also have to learn to deal with the consequences of those decisions in the same competitive environment. BelloLudi takes care of the game and your coaches have their hands free to observe the behavior of the participants and intervene.

The set-up

We take the participants back in time to the last days of Napoleon. There they will be given command of part of the army (a brigade) and they will have to carry out an assignment together in which the blue and red parties compete with each other. The game materials are hand-painted miniatures that immediately appeal to the imagination.

The teams can be composed in advance or drawn on the spot. After that, a general will have to be chosen from the group. This person will receive the assignment for the game from us. Individual participants can receive individual assignments from your coaches that are in line with the MD trajectory. Participants will have to plan, improvise, discuss, decide and act.

The game lasts between two and three hours, depending on the number of players, with plenty of room for intervention and relaxation. We take care of the setup and it takes about half an hour.

The game can be played with 4 to 24 participants. To play the game you need a table measuring 2 by 4 meters for up to 12 participants and 2 by 8 meters for up to 24 participants.
